River West
Converted warehouse floors and townhouse rows, a lot of them with an undercounter ice maker on the entertaining level. Long, exposed water runs to those machines are the first thing worth checking when the ice stops.
What the visit looks like here
Long water runs are the first thing checked on an ice call over here. A machine at the far end of a converted floor is fed by a line that has picked up pressure loss, an aged filter or a pinch behind a cabinet somewhere along the way, and a starved module looks identical to a failed one until the fill volume is measured. Ice work on this loop starts at the supply and moves inward.

Unit under the counter had frozen its own drain and was leaking onto the floor of a new build. He cleared it, warmed the line, and fitted the clip that stops it happening again.

Temperature was fine at night and poor by late afternoon, which nobody else could reproduce. He arranged to come at the bad hour and caught the condenser fan cutting out when it got hot.
Osman H. · River West · July 2026
Fresh food side climbing into the forties while the other column sat perfectly at zero. He treated them as two separate machines, which is apparently how they work, and found one bad sensor.
